Well, it’s official! I have graduated from the University of Arizona and completed my undergrad degrees. My parents came down Thursday evening and picked me up from work with Olivia and we drove to the Ritz Carlton in Dove Mountain. Olivia loved it there!
Friday morning was the College of Humanities ceremony where I was awarded my degree in Spanish with a concentration in Portuguese. I sat with my friends Brenda and Zac.
Afterwards my family and I hung out at the hotel and I may have gotten a (little?) sunburned.
Saturday afternoon was the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences ceremony where I was awarded a degree in Veterinary Science with a minor in Chemistry with my friends Jennifer (also moving to Glasgow), Stephanie and Lauren.
The following week was my graduation party. It was great to meet up with friends and family that I haven’t seen in a while. Between work and school, I didn’t have much time to make it home. But at the end of June I will be moving back in with my parents until I make the jump across the Atlantic. This will give me some time to spend with them and my friends. It seems like so far away, but I will be leaving Arizona in 2 months! I have already made a “to-do list” and never realized how much stuff I have to do. Doctor’s appointments, selling furniture, packing, fixing my computer, applying for my Visa….the list just keeps getting longer as I cross things off. Actually, I have tried to be proactive and brought all my winter clothes up to Phoenix, washed them, and have packed two suitcases!
I have recently received a flurry of emails from Glasgow. It just makes things seem even more real! I apply for my visa next week (eek!)
